Board Plan

Overview:

The Board Plan, also known as the Matrix Board Plan or Cycler Plan, is an MLM structure where distributors are placed in boards or matrices and work together to cycle through the boards based on their performance. Once a distributor completes a matrix (usually by filling all positions within a specific matrix structure), they “cycle out” and earn a reward, typically in the form of commissions or bonuses. After cycling, the distributor can enter into a new matrix and continue earning.

In a Board Plan, the key focus is on teamwork, as distributors within a board must work together to complete the matrix and cycle out. The plan is also known for its unique feature of having a “board” of limited slots (positions), often in a 2×2, 3×3, or 4×4 matrix, where new recruits are placed.

How the Board Plan Works:

  1. Joining the Network:
    • A distributor (let’s call them Sarah) joins the network and is placed in an entry-level board.
  2. Filling the Matrix:
    • Sarah’s board is made up of multiple slots (let’s assume it’s a 2×2 matrix, meaning 2 people in each row and 2 rows). Sarah recruits new distributors (let’s say John and Alex) to fill the matrix.
  3. Cycling Out:
    • Once Sarah’s matrix is full (i.e., all 4 positions are filled), the board “cycles out,” and Sarah earns a commission or bonus. This reward is typically a fixed amount that can vary by company.
    • After Sarah cycles out, she enters a new board to continue earning.
  4. New Cycle and Higher Board:
    • After cycling out from the entry-level board, Sarah is placed in a higher-level board with a larger reward pool and more positions to fill.
  5. Teamwork:
    • The matrix encourages teamwork as each person in the matrix works to fill the positions and complete the cycle. Each person’s success is dependent on the group completing the board together.

Key Features of the Board MLM Plan:

  1. Fixed Positions:
    • Boards typically have fixed positions that must be filled for a distributor to “cycle out” and earn a reward.
  2. Teamwork:
    • The success of cycling depends on the collective effort of everyone in the matrix filling the available positions. A board is only complete when all positions are filled.
  3. Cycling:
    • Once a board is filled, distributors cycle out and earn a payout, which allows them to enter a new cycle with a new matrix, typically at a higher level.
  4. Level Up:
    • Distributors can level up to higher boards with more positions, and therefore higher earnings, as they complete lower-level boards.
  5. Board Sizes:
    • The boards in the matrix can have different sizes: 2×2, 3×3, 4×4, etc., depending on the company’s rules. A 2×2 matrix means 2 people in each row and 2 rows (a total of 4 positions).

Example of a Board MLM Plan (2×2 Matrix):

Let’s take the example of a 2×2 matrix:

  1. Sarah joins the network and is placed at the top of the matrix. The matrix has 4 positions:

    Sarah
    / \

John Alex /
Linda Tim

2. **Sarah** recruits **John** and **Alex** into her matrix. Now there are two open slots remaining.

3. **John** recruits **Linda**, and **Alex** recruits **Tim**, filling all 4 positions in the matrix.

4. Now that the matrix is complete (Sarah’s board is full), the board "cycles out," and Sarah receives a payout.

5. **Sarah** is then placed in a new higher-level board where she starts filling new positions. She can now recruit new people and complete the next cycle.

### **Board Plan Structure (Tree Diagram)**:

Here is an example tree structure for a **2x2 Board Plan**:

           Sarah (Level 1)
           / \
John (Level 2) Alex (Level 2)
      / \ / \

Linda (Level 3) Tim (Level 3) [Open] [Open]

- **Level 1**: **Sarah** is at the top of the matrix.
- **Level 2**: **John** and **Alex** fill the second level.
- **Level 3**: **Linda** and **Tim** fill the third level, completing the 2x2 matrix.
- Once all positions are filled, **Sarah** and her team cycle out and earn commissions or bonuses, and Sarah moves to the next cycle at a higher level.

---

### **Commission and Rewards in a Board Plan:**
The rewards in a board plan can vary depending on the company, but they are typically structured as follows:

- **Entry-Level Board**: After completing the matrix (e.g., 2x2 matrix), the distributor receives a reward (for example, $100).
- **Higher-Level Boards**: After cycling out from the entry-level board, the distributor moves to a higher-level board, which could have more positions and higher payouts (e.g., 3x3 matrix with a $500 reward).
- **Repeat**: Once a distributor completes the higher-level matrix, they enter another cycle.

---

### **Example with Multiple Levels:**

Consider a 3-level board plan with **2x2**, **3x3**, and **4x4** boards:

#### **Level 1 (Entry-Level 2x2)**:

           Sarah
           / \
      John Alex
      / \
  Linda Tim

- **Sarah** recruits **John** and **Alex**.
- **John** recruits **Linda** and **Tim**.
- Once the matrix is full, Sarah cycles out and earns a commission.

#### **Level 2 (3x3 Board)**:

           Sarah (Now in 3x3)
          / | \
     John Alex [Open]
     / \ / \
Linda Tim [Open] [Open]

- **Sarah** has cycled out from the 2x2 board and now moves to the **3x3 board**.
- The board grows with more recruits, and once it fills, Sarah cycles out and earns a higher reward.

---

### **Advantages of the Board MLM Plan:**

1. **Clear Progression**: As distributors complete lower-level boards, they can level up to higher boards with bigger rewards.
2. **Teamwork Focus**: The matrix structure emphasizes cooperation and teamwork to fill positions, fostering a collaborative environment.
3. **Incentive to Recruit**: Distributors are encouraged to recruit new people to fill the matrix and cycle out, resulting in potential earnings.

### **Potential Drawbacks:**

1. **Limited to Matrix Structure**: Since each matrix has a fixed number of positions, growth is constrained to the matrix structure.
2. **Risk of Dropouts**: If a distributor fails to recruit enough people or their downline drops out, it can slow down the progress of cycling out.
3. **Complexity**: For new distributors, the concept of filling positions in a matrix and cycling through boards can be challenging to understand initially.

---

### **Conclusion:**
The **Board MLM Plan** is a powerful tool for MLM companies, as it encourages teamwork and provides clear progression paths for distributors. Its focus on filling matrix positions and rewarding teamwork can be highly motivating for individuals looking for structured ways to advance in the MLM network.
